1. About these terms

These terms apply to your use of Bixed, operated by [not configured — set in environment before launch]. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you use Bixed as a consumer, nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.

2. What Bixed is — and isn't

Bixed is a planning tool. It helps you put together a bike from components, estimates price and weight, and checks a set of compatibility rules. It is not a shop: we don't sell components, and we are not a party to any purchase you make from a retailer.

Component data, prices, weights, scores and compatibility results are guidance only. Specifications marked "Not verified" have not been checked against manufacturer data. Always confirm fit and compatibility with the manufacturer or a qualified bike mechanic before buying or installing parts. Incorrect assembly of bicycle components can cause serious injury.

3. Accounts

• You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to create an account.
• Keep your password secret. You are responsible for activity on your account; tell us straight away if you think it has been misused.
• One person per account. Don't impersonate others or choose a misleading username.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of builds, descriptions and comments you publish. By publishing them you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display and let other users copy your builds within Bixed, for as long as the content is public. You can unpublish or delete your content at any time.

Content must follow the Community Guidelines. We may remove content or restrict accounts that break them, and we tell you why unless the law prevents us.

5. Acceptable use

Don't attempt to break, overload, scrape at scale, or bypass security or rate limits of the service, and don't use it to send spam.

6. Links to retailers

Links to retailers take you to third-party websites with their own terms and prices. See the Marketplace & Affiliate Disclosure.

7. Availability and changes

The service is provided free of charge and may change or be interrupted. We will give reasonable notice before material changes to these terms.

8. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health. Otherwise, and to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses resulting from reliance on component data, prices or compatibility results. The exact wording of this clause depends on the applicable law and must be reviewed.

9. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time — see Deleting your account. We may suspend accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms.

10. Law and disputes

Governing law and place of jurisdiction: [not configured — set in environment before launch]. Consumers keep the protection of the mandatory law of their country of residence.
