How the assistant works

The build assistant is rule-based: it reads your message for a budget, riding style and priorities, then suggests swaps calculated from our component catalog. It does not use a large language model and does not send your messages to any outside AI provider. It never changes your build on its own — every change is listed with its price and weight effect, and only happens when you press Apply. You can undo it.

Component data

Prices are indicative estimates in euros, not live retailer prices. Weights and specifications are approximate and marked "Not verified" until checked against manufacturer data. Performance, comfort and durability scores are our own heuristic, not measurements.

Compatibility

The compatibility checker covers the standards listed on the builder page. Standards we don't check yet — such as bottom bracket, headset, axle spacing and tubeless compatibility — are listed as not checked. "Compatible" means no conflict was found in the checked standards, not a guarantee that parts fit. Always confirm with the manufacturer or a qualified mechanic before buying or fitting parts.
